WE PROUDLY PRESENT

CREATIVE ARTISTIC EXPRESSION

BROTHERS WITH CREATIVE ENERGY

creative expressions

Join us September 28th for an afternoon of talent and fascinating stories.

Meet Cadence resident Carl Hathwell, a film director, actor, and landscape artist. After graduating from Stanford University, he served in the US Army, then moved to France where he attended film school and worked in France’s film industry for more than 10 years, as an assistant director, actor, and screenwriter. Carl returned to California and worked as a landscaper at Golden Gate National Park before moving into Cadence Millbrae. He will be visiting France in October to pursue production of a film based on his screenplay.

We would like to recognize Carl for sharing his professional skills and creative insight with our entire community.

Carl will be joined by his brother David Hathwell. David’s poems have appeared in more than a dozen literary magazines, national and international. A former English teacher, he has degrees in English from Stanford and Columbia and a degree in music theory from the City University of New York.

David will conduct a short reading from his new book: The Power of Telling: Collected Poems. He will be available for book signing at the event.
